Overview

Macro Hero ("we", "our", "the app") is a Zendesk marketplace application that helps administrators manage macros at scale. We are committed to protecting your privacy and your customers' data.

Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the app:

• Zendesk subdomain — to identify your Zendesk instance
• Subscription status — to manage your plan (free or pro)
• Usage counts — to track feature usage for plan limits (e.g., daily search count, trial uses remaining)

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, process, or have access to:

• Your macro content, titles, or actions
• Your ticket data or customer information
• Your agents' personal information
• Any Zendesk API tokens or credentials

How Your Data Is Processed

All macro data (searching, editing, toggling) is processed entirely within your browser. The app communicates directly with the Zendesk API through Zendesk's secure proxy (ZAF SDK). Your macro data never passes through our servers.

Data Storage

The minimal data we collect (subdomain, plan status, usage counts) is stored on Cloudflare D1, a serverless database. This data is isolated per Zendesk instance — no instance can access another's data.

Third-Party Services

• Zendesk — The app runs within the Zendesk platform using the Zendesk Apps Framework
• Cloudflare — Backend hosting and database (usage tracking only)

Data Retention

Usage data is retained as long as the app is installed. If you uninstall the app, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

Security

All communications are encrypted via HTTPS. We follow the principle of least privilege — we only request the Zendesk API permissions necessary for the app to function.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or our website.
